When reading this book, I was so engrossed in each case that I couldn't wait to find out the results at the end. I just couldn't put the book down. It is very good reading.

I have been reading your book whenever I can.  I was especially impressed by your comments to the reader during the process of each person. I like the way you reveal how you  have come to your inner plan for each client and then go for it. I like the way you recognize and comment when you see or hear the shifts that are significant. I also like your being open about your own stuckness. I do not remember reading a process that so clearly says where you are in the process, as well as your client!  All of this is so helpful to your therapist audience. You are not only an excellent therapist, but a great writer.

This book is an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning about the most cutting edge clinical method of therapeutic treatment, EMDR. Instead of the usual fictional case studies one often finds in books like this, Dr. Aarons uses real case studies, each of which involves their own set of real-life difficulties. The case studies serve as a raw and stimulating means of laying bare the EMDR method of (re)processing.

This book is of great value to anyone interested in the therapeutic process, practitioners and clients alike. Like most therapeutic processes, EMDR helps people to break through difficult habits, traumatic memories, and disempowering self-conceptions. What is distinctive about EMDR, however, is that for reasons no one seems to understand as of yet, it works incredibly FAST, and with lasting results.

Despite not being a practitioner myself, I found the book to be clearly written and easy to follow. The case studies are gripping, and hard to put down once you've started one, as you want to get to the end and see how it gets resolved.

Great book, I recommend it thoroughly.
